   The Akwa Ibom State Police Command says it has arrested a total of 126 suspects who allegedly engaged in various crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, vandalism, murder and rape in the first quarter of 2023. Parading some of the suspects on Saturday during a press conference at the Command headquarters in Ikot Akpanabia Uyo, the Commissioner of Police, Olatoye Durosinmi explained that the synergy between the police and other sister agencies helped the police to record the feat. Durosinmi also paraded about four suspects who kidnapped a retired permanent secretary in the state, Mr. Ignatius Brown of Abak Local Government Area and demanded a ransom of N80 million having seen what was in his bank account through his handset.
