Akwa Ibom begins $10m real estate project in Atlanta

  Udom Emmanuel, Akwa Ibom State Governor The Akwa Ibom State government has commenced investment in the real estate sector in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America with a $10 million project. Governor Udom Emmanuel, who made this known while undertaking the ground-breaking ceremony of the project known as Akwa Ibom House in Atlanta, said the project was in partnership with the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (USA) Atlanta chapter. According to the governor, the money given by the state government is an investment (which has acquired 23 percent equity of the investment) and not a donation. He expressed optimism that the project would yield benefits and become a veritable source of external financial inflow to the state government.
