Mr Ibu’s daughter, Jasmine gets engaged to Actor Ken Erics [Video]

  Jasmine Okafor, a content creator and daughter of the famous comic actor, John Ikechukwu Okafor, popularly called Mr Ibu, has been engaged by Nollywood actor Ken Erics. Recall that Jasmine had in November 2022 announced divorce from her UK-based husband, stating that her husband had lied to her about his previous marriage and kids. A trending video on social media showed the moment actor Ken Erics engaged Jasmine in the presence of their friends. Sharing the proposal video on her Instagram page, Jasmine appreciated the actor for reviving her love life and also making her believe in love again. Jasmine wrote: “I have tasted Your Love. And it’s so sweet. Thank you so much for reviving my love life. You made me believe I could love again. Cheers to forever with you @kenerics. “There is madness in loving you, but it is that lack of reason that makes it feel so flawless. Your laughter is what I’m most craziest about.”

NIESV Intervenes As Akwa Ibom Ministries Clash Over Lands

  Worried by the ongoing feuds between the ministry of Lands and Water Resources and the ministry of Works and Fire Service, over who has powers to pay compensation and other issues to property owners, the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Akwa Ibom State has called for streamlining the functions of both ministries. The estate valuers, while addressing the at the weekend, described the feud as unhealthy and unproductive, even as they blamed the ugly development and unhealthy rivalry to lack of clearly defined roles for some ministries and agencies (MDAs) by the outgoing Governor Udom Emmanuel. The institution, therefore, called on the Akwa Ibom State government to streamline the functions of ministry of Lands/Water Resources and ministry of Works and Fire Service concerning acquisition of lands and payment of compensations, saying “the continuous usurpation of the roles by the works ministry is embarrassing and unhealthy.” The chairman of NIESV, Akwa Ibo

  Godswill Akpabio, former minister of Niger Delta affairs and senator representing Akwa Ibom north-west, on Saturday, paid a courtesy visit to Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife. Akpabio is among the top lawmakers seeking to be the next senate president when the 10th national assembly is inaugurated in June. On Saturday,  David Umahi , governor of Ebonyi state, said he had dropped his senate president bid and endorsed Akpabio. Abdullahi Ganduje , governor of Kano, had also said Akpabio would be the next senate president.  Barau Jibrin, senator representing Kano north and Umahi accompanied the senate presidential hopeful during the visit.
