Davido Reveals How He Convinced Asake to Feature on ‘Timeless’ Album

Davido, an internationally renowned Nigerian singer and music executive, has recently revealed how he got Asake to jump on the track for his latest album “Timeless”. He shared that even though he is a massive fan of the “Sungba” crooner, he did not reach out to him directly. Instead, he used the record label boss, Olamide, to convey his request.

The DMW boss revealed that he slid into Olamide’s DMs with the request and soon enough the rapper asked him to send over the song. Davido then sent the track over to Baddo’s WhatsApp, but due to the rapper’s hectic tour schedule, the collaboration wouldn’t be possible right away.

He further stated that Asake loves getting in the studio with Olamide, so after a week’s wait the Yoga singer recorded his verse and sent back the song. This revelation showed just how talented the multi-award winning artist is, being able to collaborate with some of the best contemporary artists in the music industry.

Davido has shown that he is continuously looking for new and innovative ways to take his career to the next level. His recent collaboration with Asake on “No Competition” is a testament of that. Fans of both singers are surely revelling in the success of their collaboration and are looking forward to what else the two can cook up in the future.

Akwa Ibom Assembly passes state map establishment bill into law

  Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, on Thursday, passed into law the Bill to provide for a Map for the State and other matters connected therewith.  The new law, which is cited as the Akwa Ibom State Map Establishment Law 2023, was passed during the plenary and is expected to take effect from April 13, 2023. This followed a report of the Joint Committee on Lands and Housing, Boundary and Conflict Resolution and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, presented by its Chairman, Sir Udo Kierian Akpan (Oruk Anam). According to the report, the Bill sponsored by Hon. David Lawrence (Eket) will help reduce agitations and communal conflicts, enhance and promote development within the mapped-out boundaries.
