Fireboy drops new single ‘Someone’

 Afrobeats star, Fireboy has dropped a new single, ‘Someone’ that has gone fans excited.

The ‘Peru’ crooner released the new single on Thursday.


Titled ‘Someone’, the track is a blend of Electronic Dance Elements and percussions for Dance record.


The single conveys the musings of a hopeless romantic contemplating the reality of losing the woman he loves.


This is Fireboy’s first release in 2023, one that trails his contribution to the epic ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ album soundtrack.

Court refuses application for Seun Kuti’s arraignment

  A Sabo-Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, on Wednesday, refused an application by the police to formally arraign afrobeat singer Seun Kuti. Kuti, who was released from custody on Tuesday night, had been on remand for six days on the orders of the court.   The police had on May 16 applied for remand of the musician over alleged assault on a police officer. On Wednesday, Mr Cyril Ejiofor, who led a police legal team to the court, applied to the court to allow arraignment of the singer. He said that the application was to formally bring charges against Kuti. Kuti’s counsel, Mr Femi Falana (SAN), however, opposed the application. He argued that the police refused to send the case file to Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice, as directed by the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Adeola Olatubosun. It was a thriller,  The Eyes of Darkness, written by Dean Koontz . Looks like it is not the only piece of fiction that predicted the coronavirus outbreak. A book titled End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies about the End of the World, written by Sylvia Browne, also predicted the global outbreak of coronavirus. The book was first published in 2008. Cabo Verde Airlines suspends flight to Nigeria over COVID-19

By ABDULLATEEF ALIYU, Lagos Cabo Verde Airlines which started operating to Nigeria with the launch of Lagos-Sal flight in December last year has suspended its flights following the outbreak of Covid-19. The suspension takes effect between March 16 and May 31st. The airline said it suspended the operation “due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation” which has caused many countries to impose a temporary ban on inbound travel from countries with large numbers of infections. In a statement, the airline said, “This situation has had a profound negative effect on the demand for passenger flights worldwide. “Considering both economic and environmental consequences it has become necessary for airlines to respond to the lower demand by reducing flight schedules. “Cabo Verde Airlines will provide a full refund to customers who purchased tickets for the cancelled flights,” the airline said in a statement.
